PERFACHSIONISM : a personal shopping day with Marloes

A casual wedding in Greece up on a hill?? have you seen Mama Mia the movie? well it's kind of same thing!
Pas de Panique! Let's go shopping :)


Dress: The dress we picked is the Orange one (most fashionable color this summer)
and fits her perfectly because she doesnt really have body flaws and it matches her skin color.
The flower dress was a  second choice but we found it to more day wear.
I also wanted her to try a new style which she liked at Pinko Store. (not for the wedding just for fun)
What do you think? it's a serwall white pant and one shoulder white top with a pink sequence little jacket.

Shoe : Rocky heels because the wedding is up on a hill, she needs to walk comfortably
We had the choice between orange and white. We finally choose the white to match with the white bag (fashion tip: it's more chic to match shoes with bag color)

Bag: White casual bag (small size is always more chic and trendy for weddings)

Scarf: we choose a little silk scarf to cover her shoulders in church as per Greek traditions
Sunglases: White sunglasses to match with the outfit (wedding is in the afternoon, so she might need them)

a state of mind!

I would have never imagined a 3 levels coffee shop with stairs and a library :) funny concept!       
I was kind of surprised when i walked in...it's different and original.

a boring 4 season experience...

I randomly went to visit the 4 season hotel in Beirut few days ago and i was very disapointed!!!
The lobby is so cold, plain and boring decoration for a 5 stars hotel (they also adapted it to fit the traditional arabian style) which i didnt like at all!
Where is the modernism??? we're in the 21st Century and hotels are supposed to be futurist ,modern and original!
The 2nd floor restaurant seems ok a little too dark for me but it has a nice view...you feel right on the beach..i think the location is all what this hotel has as +++.
They say they are opening a rooftop bar. Will wait and see what it looks like....it should be cool! fingers crossed!

 If you are one of those who thinks that a closet is a women paradise then you are in the right place!

Sorry for the mess guys but this is my paradise and i admit it becomes hell i open it and all your clothes crawl down in front of you! Well that's what happens to me...most of the times! :s n

As much as i love opening it every morning to choose my outfit, i am in desperate need to have someone showing me around my own clothes! (special thx to my house keeper!! the poor lady has to hang my mess twice everyday!)

IRIS is it a flower?

                                                  

The IRIS is a very nice flower i like a lot, it means rainbow in greek and blablablabaaaaaa  let's cut the flowerology lesson :p  it's actually the new chill out roof top bar in town, Openned just a few weeks ago in Al Nahar building Down Town.

I liked it so much as i love chill out bars and we only have a few in Lebanon. The music is very loungy, they have a band every thursday and sunday. It's not a night club so don't get too excited, just a nice place to sit and talk with friends while watching the sunset on a sunday late afternoon and having a sangria or an Iris margarita :)

OMG is Chanel going crazyyyyyyyyy???!!!

Condoms??? for 300 bucks a pack?? Their slogan :  keep it classy! have sex with style! I really think it's "mauvais gout" Where is Chanel going? hmmm....

Also Chanel is launching the Mademoiselle bag with actress Blake Lively From Gossip Girls Tv series as their new face.Personally i didn't like this bag not at fan of the shape....what about you?

the next generation salad bar!

I love discovering new restaurants and i just discovered one today thanks to my girlfriend Sandy!!
Green Carrot is so far the first concept restaurant in Beirut i know. It's in monot street (ashrafieh) facing Entrecote Restaurant, you can't miss it. The salad bar is presented differenlty by differently i mean the original way it was initially invented! (no self service)

Just a few information about salad bar concept : it comes from the states and few years later was also adopted in Paris! you choose what you want in it and they serve you rightaway and mix it in front of you by adding the toppings you choose.

So no self service, you get to see them prepare your salad in front of you and you choose what you want inside it. ( kind of frustrating because i wanted more crab lol)
They have a wide selection of vegetables (a mix of green salad, cherry tomates, sun dried tomatoes, cucumber, sweet corn, tuna, eggs, crab, green pepper, olives, fetta cheese, blue cheese, parmesan, palmito, asparagus...) and you can add toppings such as avocado, fresh mushrooms, chicken, beef, etc..

They mix it add the sauce you want and serve it :) it looks so fresh so tasty so bio!
the restaurant is more like a cafeteria place where you can grab a quick lunch. They also have wraps, soups and other meals but the salad is the main concept.
You can feel it's a go green restaurant, a new generation restaurant where the food is bio, you eat light and good. They also have a delivery service in all beirut district.

Who is Rami Kadi?

Today i was invited with a friend of mine to the openning of a new designer store in town : Rami Kadi Lebanese designer 24 years old!!! Can you believe that? he is so young but very talented and so sweet.
Rami looked so stylish in his gold sequence jacket and his bowtie :))
I had already heard of Rami before but i never got the chance to meet him in person and see his work.
I was impressed :)
He studied at ESMOD and worked for famous lebanese international designers (Rabih Keyrouz and Georges Chakra).
