Chanel on an oriental rug?

I was wandering in down town with a friend and we stopped all of sudden in front of the Chanel Store windows. We were very surprised to see what we saw...
For me Chanel is synonymous with  class, beauty, simplicity, french and above all black and white! Thats why we girls love it!
But take a look at the pictures :(((((( such a disapointment... they completely Orientalized it...I wonder what Miss Coco would have thought about this? What do you think?

i dont know why they call it music fest?

Today we went with a bunch of friends to the what's so called "music fest"...expect it was not really it.
Honestly it is the second time i attend it in Beirut and everytime im disapointed.
I dont think any of us enjoyed it...i was expecting something like music everywhere, people dancing, singing...
We went first to Down town and nothing was different...people were walking on the streets, there was just one place next to DT restaurant where a band played one or two records at 8h30pm for like 30 minutes and that was it!!!!  Same in Hamra...(i think they barely played).
I have to admit that the best part was in Gemayze street, next to the famous big stair where a lot of artist where exposing their paintings (but thats not only for the music fest, they often do it)
At the bottom of the stairs, there was a band playing nice lebanese songs and some foreign ones..it was nice... People where sitting everywhere on the stairs...there was this music mood in the air :) much better!

Ti amo Kiko!

Kiko is my new favorite "fetiche" for make up! i am not really a make up person coz i usually dont wear any mascara, eye liner, eye shadow or foundation. And i am not a pro in choosing what suits me best in terms of colors and teints!

But KiKo makes you love make up!!! I ran into their shop (via Torino) with my friend Laura who actually told me about it when we were in Milan. The minute you walk in you can see how busy  it is! They give you shopping bag like if they knew you are going to buy the whole place!
Their make up is so attractive, colorful and cheap!!!!
Lip gloss is at 2.90 eu, Eye Shadow at 4.90, Nail polish at 4.90 colors are just so special! i bought an electric blue which i couldnt find any where else! and it lasts! I actually got out with a total of 50 euro make up but it was nothing as it is not even the price of any well known brand foundation!
It is a self service place, sales women are just here to help in case you need an advice. I spent 30 mins in this shop and i still didnt want to get out! I usually hate make up shops, i get bored and leave within 5 mins without buying anything or just the necessary!
From now on Kiko it is!!!!!!

Aperitivo : a concept invented by Italians!

Do you guess what it is? if you already have been to Italy then you should know... but if you havent then you should def hear about it!

The aperitivo is "aperitif'' in french (it is basically a refreshment offered before dinner) but in Italy it is not exactly the same...ít is much much cooler! Let's say that it begins in every single cafe, bar or concept store at 6pm sharp and lasts until 10pm. What you have to do is order a drink for 10 or 12 euro and you get all you can eat among the variety of the italian apetizers!!! it is soooooo deliciouuuus! well it depends which aperitivo you go to and how much you are hungry! It is always a great way to meet people and socialize! some places get very busy and u feel like your in cocktail party!
Some aperitivos are more "chic" like the Marc Jacobs one in Milan via Brera (check the pic below)

Some Others in the other part of Milan (corso di porta tichinese) are more for students as it's the all you can eat policy! It's always crowded, sometimes you have to be in queue to get food. They usually offer a very large buffet of all kind of food. It is really worth it if you want to have a cheap dinner :) dont miss it if you happen to be anywhere in Italy!!!
